Parents and guardians in the Iringa region have been urged to stop the practice of locking up children with disabilities and denying them the opportunity to participate in various social activities.
Mbata made these remarks during a meal event with orphans and children living in vulnerable conditions in Iringa Municipality, held at the VETA Hall.
He stated that many opportunities are provided by the Sixth Phase Government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan for children with special needs, and by confining them indoors, they are being denied the chance to access these opportunities.
Additionally, Mbata called on stakeholders and the community at large to love children and help them fulfill their dreams.
