The lack of Agricultural education in the education curriculum in the country has contributed to many young people who graduate from various levels of education waiting to be employed and not self-employed, a situation that leads to many young people on the street waiting for employment.
Donors from Italy in collaboration with the Catholic Church have established the St.Jacobus technical and agricultural science secondary school, in order to provide education with agricultural training that will help the students who study in the school self-employment methods and see the importance of developing agriculture.
And the representative of the Same foundation (a non-governmental organization from Italy) Dr. Antonio Bonetti has said that they focus on improving agricultural education in collaboration with the Same Foundation, they have brought tractors and opened a garage for those concepts where the students learn to use them and also to make them.
District Education Quality Controller Same Calist Youze, has said that the government has now reduced the criteria for establishing a school where previously Private owners were required to have an amount of not less than 65 million, heka 5 along with a series of letters requesting permission to establish a school.
On his part, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Same Rogate Kimario has said that although they provide services, they have been struggling with the issue of some government institutions forcing them to have business licenses.
Some of the students of the first form in the school including Emanuel Kanuti, Sister Maria Epifania have said that the education they get in the school will help them in getting rid of themselves economically.
